RHUL History Department is offering some extra Research Preparation Masters bursaries for 2012-13. Like the earlier-advertised AHRC Masters award, these departmental bursaries, including 2 Herringham Awards (£5,000 each), are intended for applicants who plan to continue to a PhD. The application should comprise:

i) a personal research statement (500 words maximum) indicating the proposed PhD project and demonstrating how the MA will offer preparation for it.

ii) the standard College application form (including nominated referees). This form should be submitted via the normal College channels.

For further information, see:

Applications and personal research statements must be submitted no later than 30 June 2012.

Personal research statements and any queries should be directed to the Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies (Taught Programmes) in History, Dr Chi-Kwan Mark chi-kwan.mark@rhul.ac.uk
