Advanced notice of public lecture

For those of you interested in modern European history, here is advance notice about the exciting public lecture on 14 March (6.30-8pm - Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House) at the LSE by Professor Paul Preston - Franco's Terror in a European Context: the volksgemeinschaft that got away - a discussion of the atrocities against civilians in the Spanish Civil War, the political consequences in Spain today and the parallels with Nazi and Soviet experiences.
