This work-in-progress performance of Lady Jane Lumley's translation of Euripides' Iphigenia at Aulis (c. 1555). Facilitated by Professor Elizabeth Schafer from the Department of Drama, Theatre, and Dance and directed by RHUL alumna Dr Rebecca McCutcheon, this performance offers a fresh perspective on Lumley's rarely staged translation by locating it amidst the context of the execution of Lumley's cousin and 'Nine Days Queen', Jane Grey.
