Debating the Future of the Falklands/Malvinas

Professor Klaus Dodds and Dr Alasdair Pinkerton have recently participated in media debates around the future of the Falklands /Malvinas. Building on their long-standing research on the geopolitics of the South Atlantic, Klaus was interviewed on the BBC Radio 4 Today Programme and Alasdair on BBC Radio Five Live. Klaus also wrote articles for the Daily Telegraph and the Huffington Post.

Klaus and Alasdair both teach on the new MSc in Geopolitics and Security which is jointly run by the Department of Geography and the Department of Politics and International Relations. 

Both Klaus and Alasdair will be travelling to the Falklands in March to observe the Falkland Islanders' referendum on their sovereignty and status.
