Student-alumni evening showcases the careers of our graduates

Posted on 05/03/2012

On Thursday 1st March, RHUL Geography hosted its annual student-alumni evening. The event was designed so that current students could listen to the employment experiences of our graduates, ask questions, and practice their networking skills (pictured) at a wine reception after.

Reflecting the wealth of opportunities open to our students post-degree, highlights included:

  • A landscape architect who has travelled the world advising on the design of school grounds, public parks and historic gardens;
  • A city lawyer, who once in the Royal Navy as a Navigator and Commanding Officer, now specializes in shipping law;
  • A GIS manager who produces complex geographical data and analysis to help plan the needs of a Borough Council;
  • A grants and policy officer for BBC Children in Need who funds organisations working with disadvantaged children and young people;
  • And two Geography teachers who continue to enjoy fieldwork!

 Further information about alumni can be found here.
