Royal Holloway Geography top for overall satisfaction in National Student Survey

Posted on 12/09/2011

NSSlogo The newly published results of the official National Student Survey reveal that the Department of Geography has achieved an extraordinary 100% for 'overall student satisfaction', the highest level of satisfaction of any academic department in the UK.

The results tell a remarkable story about the strength of the degree programmes in Geography at Royal Holloway. For our students taking our programmes focused in Human Geography, there was an overall student satisfaction rate of 100%.  For students taking programmes focused in Physical and Environmental Geography, the overall satisfaction rate was 99%.  This combined performance is unmatched by any other geography department in the UK.

This is just the most recent survey of many that recognise the commitment of our staff to teaching, and the quality of support offered to students in degree programmes that are strong in fieldwork and small-group tutorials.

Full details of the National Student Survey results for Geography are available here.

Royal Holloway Geography is also consistently rated near the top of other polls and surveys. The recent Complete University Guide for 2012 confirmed our place as one of the 'Top Ten' Departments in the UK.
