LATEST: College PhD Scholarships Available for 2012 Applicants

Posted on 06/01/2012

The Department of Geography is pleased to announce that well qualified candidates for PhD projects are eligible to be considered for the following funding provided by Royal Holloway:

Reid Scholarship (x1) which offers a HEU fee waiver plus £15,250 maintenance for 3 years (full time equivalent)

Crossland Scholarships (x3) which offers a HEU waiver plus £5000 maintenance for 3 years (full time equivalent)

Candidates applying either for the AHRC award in cultural/historical geography or an ESRC DTC studentship can be considered as well for college scholarships. (Please note there are two separate and earlier deadlines in February for the AHRC and ESRC DTC awards).

The deadline for Reid and Crossland applications is 9th March 2012 and applicants need to have completed the online RHUL application process.

Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to contact either the Director of Graduate Studies (Professor Klaus Dodds) or specific members of our research staff.
