Posted on 11/10/2011

ESRCDTCLogo The South East ESRC Doctoral Training Centre (DTC)—of which Royal Holloway is a partner organisation—is offering 24 fully funded PhD studentships (including 1+3 and collaborative / CASE) for the academic year 2012/13.

The ESRC provides UK candidates with awards which include tuition fees and a maintenance grant. EU candidates are provided with a tuition fees only award.

We welcome enquiries from outstanding students who wish to work with colleagues at the Department of Geography in Human Geography related topics. The Department acts as the pathway leader for Human Geography applications and there is also an inter-disciplinary pathway concerned with energy, environment and resilience, which might be relevant. As a member of South East DTC we are eligible to put forward candidates for consideration under the terms of the South East DTC student competition via the specified pathways.

For further details on South East DTC including pathways and training programmes please contact the DTC manager, Emma Dewhirst.

In 2011-12 the Department was awarded 3 ESRC DTC studentships.
Deadline for 2012-13 competition is 10th February 2012.
