Body Shop, StreetInvest, Wildwood Trust and Furtherfield help launch placements scheme

This summer (2013) sees a new scheme where Geography students can work for their final year dissertations, while working with a company or organisation.  Unlike most placement schemes, this means that the students will be undertaking academic research as well as gaining work experience and contacts.  It also means that the work will contribute towards their mark for their final degree - the 10,000 word dissertation counts as 25% of the third year mark.

We are really grateful to our partners in this scheme - The Body Shop (the pioneering ethical brand), The Wildwood Trust (a leading centre for species reintroductions based in Kent - hence the wild boar), StreetInvest (a UK NGO training street workers in developing countries) and Furtherfield (a digital arts company based in North London).  There will be more opportunities with these and other partners in future years.
