RHUL English visit to Hamlet at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre

Posted on 04/03/2013

The Royal Shakespeare Company: Hamlet

Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon

Thursday 6 June 2013

On Thursday 6 June 2013, there will be a student-organised English Department trip to Stratford-upon-Avon to see the RSC’s production of Hamlet. The trip is open to undergraduates and postgraduates alike, and should be a great day out to end the summer examination period. If you would like to attend, please make payment to the English Department office by 15 March 2013 (details below).

The cost of the visit is £22.54 (a fantastic price thanks to Dr Varty and the English Department who have subsidised the trip) including return travel via coach and tickets to see the show. If you would like to go but feel the cost would prevent you from attending, please contact Luke Haisell (details below), who may be able to make special arrangements.

The group will be leaving Royal Holloway at 8.45am in order to have time to soak in Shakespeare’s Stratford, do some shopping and get some lunch, before meeting up again at 12.30pm outside the theatre, before the matinee performance. After the performance there will be a free hour or two before the coach leaves for Egham at 6.00pm, arriving back at Royal Holloway around 7.45pm. Precise timings, venues etc. will available in the summer term.

+ To attend:

Please write your name, year, degree programme on an envelope and include cash or a cheque for the sum of £22.54 (please make cheques payable to ‘Royal Holloway and Bedford New College’) and give this to Laura Hardy in the Department office (International Building Room 223) before 15 March 2013. Places are limited so will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
