Professor Andrew Gibson records Scholarcast at University College Dublin

Posted on 13/06/2013

On 30 July, Andrew Gibson will be recording a revised and extended version of his paper at the University of Georgia earlier this year, '"At the Dying Atlantic Edge": Norman Nicholson and the Cumbrian Coast', for the University College Dublin Scholarcast series `The Literatures and Cultures of the Irish Sea’, edited by John Brannigan.

The Scholarcast project makes audio and text files of scholarly lectures available without registration or subscription to anyone around the globe. The first three series of Scholarcast lectures received 620,245 hits and 38,628 site visits in the first year of the project, and the Scholarcasts are being downloaded currently at the rate of over 2500(audio and transcripts) per month, across the globe. It is an immensely useful and accessible vehicle for modern scholarship, and the concurrent audio and text publication of each lecture allows it to be used in a variety of ways by teachers, researchers, or interested individuals.

+ The website for the previous series is here, and the address for the first lecture in the current series is at these pages.
