Mary Jean Chan awarded Postcolonial Writing Postgraduate Essay Prize

Mary Jean Chan, a research student working with Professors Shapcott and Hampson has been awarded First Place in the Postcolonial Studies Association PSA/Journal of Postcolonial Writing Postgraduate Essay Prize for 2017. Her essay on Kei Miller's ‘The Cartographer Tries to Map a Way to Zion’ was based on a chapter from her PhD.
