Creative Writing graduates published in anthology

Posted on 02/12/2011

Bedford Square 5, an anthology of new writing from graduates of Royal Holloway’s MA in Creative Writing is published today (2 December 2011) by Ward Wood Publishing. Compelling, provocative and entertaining, it showcases the work of poets, novelists and short story writers – some of the brightest and most exciting new voices around. In his foreword, Andrew Motion writes of the ‘clear proof of accomplishment’ and ‘new energy and general freshness of approach’ within the anthology.

Since its founding in 2004 by Professor Andrew Motion, the MA in Creative Writing has quickly grown to be one of the most successful in the country. Alongside Andrew, students are taught by Costa award-winning poet Jo Shapcott and novelist Susanna Jones in the heart of Bloomsbury. A huge number of graduates have gone on to publish novels, poetry collections, short stories, and to win awards.

A launch event is planned for the anthology in the new year, where contributors will get the opportunity to meet literary agents.
