LES2013

On the 23rd March 2013, the Royal Holloway Student run organisation OMK, hosted the first London Economics Symposium at the Millbank Media Centre in Central London. The event was attended by ambitious students from all over the world and highly prominent speakers from leading companies.

The event came about when 5 Royal Holloway students from the Economics and Mathematics departments decided to bring together usually unreachable professionals and students to discuss the current economic climate and how this may affect their future.

The London Economics Symposium was covered by National and International Business Media including Shares Magazine. The event received great acclaim from student and professional alike. The organisation says it will be publishing both professional video coverage and a full analytical report of the event on their website www.les-2013.org

The Department of Economics sponsored the event along with other sponsors including Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Allianz SE, Oracle and Morningstar UK as well as the Royal Holloway Alumni Fund.

OMK is currently planning for the next London Economics Symposium. Please visit their website www.les-2013.org to keep up to date with announcements.
