Recent graduates from the Department of Economics return to Royal Holloway to talk about their careers since graduating.
Azad Zangana (Schroders- European Economist)
Schroders is a British multinational asset management company with over 200 years of experience in the world’s financial markets. Azad’s role as European Economist involves analysing economics markets to advise fund managers on investments, as well as writing independent research, speaking at conferences and appearing on television.
James Lambert (Ashurst- Senior Economist)
Ashurst is a leading international law firm advising corporates, financial institutions and governments. Their core businesses are in corporate finance, energy, resources and infrastructure. Ashurst have 25 offices in 14 countries as well as associated offices in Jakarta and Jeddah.
James is a Senior Economist in the Competition and EU department. He has been previously employed in the Government Economic Service Fast Stream with experience of working at both the OFT and the Competition Commission.
Danail Popov (Frontier Economics- Senior Consultant)
Frontier is a economics consultancy firm which applies economics to markets, organisations and policies. They help their clients to analyse and understand their markets and to formulate strategies based on sound Economics. Frontier advise across sectors and countries and are one of the largest economic consultancies in Europe (with offices in Brussels, Cologne, Dublin, London and Madrid). Danail is a senior consultant at Frontier, advising government departments and regulatory bodies in the UK and Europe.
Edward Fisher (Amro Real Estate Partners- Investment Director)
Amro Real Estate Partners are a property development and investment company. Edward's role covers quite a broad spectrum of different areas: -Site Buying - Design and planning -Construction -Equity raising -Debt raising -Asset management -People management -Business strategy.
Prior to Edward's current role he spent four years in commercial and investment banking with Barclays.
