Karthik Muralidharan (UC San Diego)


Karthik Muralidharan is Assistant Professor of Economics at UC, San Diego. Prof. Muralidharan's primary research interests include development, public, and labor economics. Specific topics of interest include education, health, and social protection; measuring quality of public service delivery; program evaluation; and improving the effectiveness of public spending (with a focus on developing countries). Prof. is a Faculty Research Fellow at th NBER, a Junior Affiliate at BREAD, and a member of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab. His reasearch has been published in Journal of Political Economy, Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Perspectives, and Journal of the European Economic Association.
