Beata Javorcik (Oxford University)


Beata Javorik is a member of the International Growth Centre

Beata Javorcik is Professor of International Economics at Oxford University, Department of Economics. Her research interests cover Foreign direct investment, International trade, and Development economics. She is Member of the Trade Programme, International Growth Centre, and Member of the Economics Advisory Group for the Foresight Food and Farming Futures Project, UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills. Her research has been published in the American Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of International Economics, and many more.

Beata will be presenting the paper 'Do the Biggest Aisles Serve a Brighter Future? Global Retail Chains and Their Implications for Romania'.
