Commitment: What is the difference between hours and sessions?

Question:
Commitment: What is the difference between hours and sessions?
Answer:

A session is a specific length of time, which may be different for different activities. Elected committee posts and course representatives, for example, are measured in sessions where one session is equivalent to one academic year in that post. Other activities, such as Sports volunteering or working with Community Action, are awarded points on a per-hour basis. Go to the tariff to see how your activity is measured.
