Greenhouse Gas Research Group
InGOS is an EU funded IA (Integrating Activity) project targeted at improving and extending the European observation capacity for non- CO2
hydrocarbons. The facilities in the Greenhouse Gas Reseach Group laboratory are one of the few European facilities for measuring isotopic composition of carbon in CH4 using a Trace Gas preconcentrator and IsoPrime mass spectrometer (GV Instruments) to provide measurements of δ13C of CH4 which can give important information as to the source of the methane.
Through InGOS (http://www.ingos-infrastructure.eu/) and through contacting the group directly, application for funding for laboratory visits and analyses can be made. Please check eligibility for InGOS funding through the official website.
The laboratory provides a trans-national methane δ13C isotope analysis service to external users through the INGOS FP7 infrastructure.

Access to the laboratory can also be provided for analytical and training purposes, and to the rooftop air sampling inlet or surrounding campus for sample collection.
