The Ghost Exits - Installation at EMST, Greece

Posted on 11/03/2014

"The Ghost Exits": A Rhetorical Installation at the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST Project Room), Athens, Greece (13 March – 7 April 2014)

The director Adonis Galeos (Phd Student, Department of Drama and Theatre), in collaboration with the actors Alexia Kaltsiki and Antonis Karystinos, explores the dramatic potential of a dialogue from Philip Roth’s novel "Exit Ghost". Based in the differences between Stanislavski's Active Analysis and Rhetorical Acting, the performance presents the dialogue as an open rehearsal; at the same time, the artist Vassilis Vlastaras generates an ever transforming set, facilitating and impeding the action.
