Bunker Girls

May 1945. Two women. One Führer. No exit.

Berlin. May, 1945. As the Russian armies close in on the Nazi high command, many in the bunker have decisions to make. But what of Hitler's secretaries? Hired to type, serve cake and make polite conversation, what will they do in the face of the regime's imminent collapse?

Featuring Suzanne Kendall, Victoria Johnston and the voice of Tom Goodman-Hill, Bunker Girls is a black comedy about women, power and the terrible consequences of excellent secretarial skills.

Directed by Christine Kimberley, Bunker Girls was written by Michael Punter, who teaches the undergraduate Playwriting modules here at Royal Holloway's Department of Drama and Theatre and was recently awarded a doctorate from the same.

"Calm yourself. Upstairs, absolutely nobody is mentioning the war..."
