Helen Nicholson wins Distinguished Book Award

Posted on 12/06/2012

The Department of Drama and Theatre are proud to announce that Helen Nicholson’s book, Theatre, Education and Performance (Palgrave, 2011) has won the Distinguished Book Award awarded by the American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE). AATE is the leading association for artists, academics and theatre educators in USA and Canada. Helen is the first author to win the award who is not based in North America in its 25 year history.

The Partnerships that Professor Nicholson (and other members of the faculty) have established are an important and very valued aspect of the Department, and we would like to take this oportunity to offer our congratulations to Professor Nicholson for this prestigious award and the deserved recognition of her work in Theatre outreach and research.
