Finalists' Hob Nob Night

Posted on 23/01/2012

HOBNOBNIGHTOn Wednesday 25th January 2012, the Drama Department will welcome back a number of successful graduates to kindly talk to finalist students about careers, courses and more...

‘This is a fantastic opportunity for Royal Holloway Drama students to explore possibilities for their future with people who’ve been in exactly their position. This is the biggest alumni networking event the department has ever organized – an unmissable opportunity for all our finalists!’ Karen Fricker, Head of Third Year

'As third years start anxiously thinking about life after Royal Holloway, Hob Nob Night is a great opportunity to get valuable tips and practical advice from successful Drama graduates who have made that transition from education to work. All with a glass of wine in your hand. What's not to like?' Dan Rebellato, Head of Department.

The night will be quite informal so no need for suits and ties; this isn't a careers event but it is a wonderful opportunity to find out more about the career paths open to you after you graduate.

There are some really interesting people coming ranging from Agents to Actors, Teachers to Theatre Makers to T.V. scriptwriters.

The evening will include:

  • In the Spotlight Q&A with three guest alumni
  • Roundtable discussion groups for specific careers; e.g. teaching, acting, forming theatre companies, etc
  • Post-discussion networking party
