The Siamese Twins

Posted on 21/03/2011

Two PhD candidates from Royal Holloway's Drama and Theatre Department, Jorge Perez Falconi and Mara Lockowandt, have been awarded £10,000 to direct the UK premiere of Argentinean playwright Griselda Gambaro's 'The Siamese Twins.'

The award was announced 17 March, 2011 by the Out of the Wings project run out of King's College, University of London, Oxford University, and Queen's University Belfast. Out of the Wings is an AHRC-funded initiative to increase awareness of Spanish drama in the UK and Perez Falconi and Lockowandt's production will be the culminating event to the three-year project. The competition was run in the style of a Dragon's Den with panelist from King's College, Oberon Books, Ice and Fire Theatre Company, the Royal Court and the Almeida Theatre.

The production will take place in the fall 2011.
