2009 Student Radio Plays available to download

Radio Playmaking (DT3030) is concerned with the ‘making’ of radio drama in both senses of the word.  First of all, it explores what distinguishes radio drama from drama merely broadcast on radio:  that is, what kind of play can be fully realised only through the medium of sound?  Second, it requires the students themselves to make such a play, writing or adapting it and then realising it in a recording.  The results of this year’s class can be heard by following the links below, where you will find five plays ranging in length from 17 to 28 minutes; two are original, and three are adaptations:
