For our second year Performance Research Project we have devised and will perform a piece of applied theatre, based on the study of theatre and the arts in health. Our piece examines the health and healthcare of young people in particular. The main focus of our piece is the change and development that young people go through when they go to their first appointment at GP or doctors without their parents. Through a series of consultations, puppetry, installation art and audience participation we will lead the audience through our performance highlighting ideas that arise from ‘taking ownership of your own health.’ The performance will take place on Wednesday the 28th of November at the Garden Lodge with performances at 5:30pm and 6:30pm.
