Crumbling Thirst

20/11/2013 (13:15-13:45)

An exploration of the material properties of biscuits, water and glasses

A performance by Jungmin Song

Dear Biscuits,

Crumbling is a symptom of thirst. You may want to relieve the symptom. However this may cause side effects, such as feeling mushy. Please bear in mind that you won't be able to revert to a crumbling body once you get infected by water.

Yours sincerely,

Jungmin Song is a Korean-born puppeteer and performance artist. Her work has been selected by East End Collaborations and the Spill Festival at the National Theatre Studios. Her YouTube Channel, http://www.youtube.com/songbarae, documents her practice as research projects and other performances.  Prior to beginning a PhD research on animating everyday objects in the context of performance at the University of Roehampton, she assisted Lyndie Wright of London’s Little Angel Theatre in designing and building puppet shows including the celebrated Royal Shakespeare Company co-production Venus and Adonis (2004).
