Playwrights in Conversation: Representing Unheard Voices

02/02/2011 (18:30-20:00)

This symposium brings together two playwrights, Rebecca Prichard and Fin Kennedy, to discuss their work in challenging and stimulating environments.

Rebecca Prichard has an outstanding record of writing critically acclaimed plays from her work in women’s prisons with Clean Break Theatre Company, and her plays include Dream Pill (Soho Theatre, 2010), Futures (2006) and Yard Gal (Royal Court, 1998). Fin Kennedy has written an impressive collection of plays, and won a Scotsman Fringe First for his play The Unravelling (2009), which was developed with the Mulberry School for Girls in Tower Hamlets.

The two playwrights will be in conversation with Professor Helen Nicholson, in the Boiler House, 6.30-8pm. This symposium is organised for the same day as the Postgraduate Taught MAs and MRes Open Day, with further details available here.
