Time for Plan Bee

This performance took place as part of our PRP 2012 (Performance Research Project) season by our second year students in the autumn term. It was a promenade piece around the Boilerhouse theatre complex. The focus and research for this project was the honey bee, focusing on the startling decline in their numbers and the effects this may have on our future.

Second Year Drama & Theatre Studies ask the question - Where would we be without bees?

"Time for Plan Bee" is a promenade performance made up of a series of instalments that explore various issues surrounding the topic of bees, and more specifically, nature. The audience is invited to engage and interact with the pieces as both spectators and on a broader scale performers, who make equally as much of a contribution to the creative process as the actors themselves. "Time for Plan Bee" explores the present and the future and how we as a society can make a great impact on our surroundings and the possible consequences of our selfish acts.Through Science and Performance "Time for Plan Bee" aims to make you think, listen and question in an attempt to enrich your understanding of bees and how important they are to us  and how without them we would be greatly affected.
