Dr Carlos Matos joins us as a Lecturer (Teaching-focused)

Dr Carlos Matos

Dr. Carlos Matos joined the Department of Computer Science at Royal Holloway in June 2013. He worked as a software engineer since 2002. Carlos held a position as a research associate at the University of Leicester between 2006 and 2008, working on a Marie-Curie Transfer-of-Knowledge Industry-Academia Partnership with ATX Software, which he joined at the end of the project.

Carlos is experienced in various areas of software engineering, ranging from requirements analysis to implementation, including client-facing roles, and also in project management. In addition to typical software-development projects, he has worked extensively in software migration and reengineering products and services.

In 2012, Carlos obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Leicester for his work on software reengineering and modernisation.
