Adrian Johnstone was one of the invited speakers at the  "History of Computing beyond the Computer" event organised
by British Society for the History of Mathematics at the University of Oxford, March 21-22, 2018.

The meeting looked at the people and the science underpinning modern software and programming. Adrian talked on Charles Babbage's design notation, which reported on the work that was done at Royal Holloway on the grant "Notions and notations: Babbage's language of thought", funded by the Leverhulme Trust.
