Postgraduate office facilities
The Department provides a number of shared offices (rooms 106, 109, 112, 119) for research students. You are allocated an individual desk in one of these offices with an Xterminal and access to the Department computer system, together with filing cabinet and bookshelf space. You have 24 hour access to your office.
The Journals Room (115) and kitchen are available as a common room.
You also have access to general office facilities, including printing, phone, fax, photcopying, post, pigeon hole, and stationery.

You are expected to log on to the departmental computer system regularly. The Department (and the College) will normally use email to contact you.
One of the noticeboards in the department is devoted to general interest information for postgraduates, such as academic conferences, details of College and EPSRC Postgraduate Training Workshops, Summer Schools, and so on.
You should be aware of the Health and Safety Regulations with regard to their office space, equipment, and furniture, and should bring any Health and Safety issues to the attention of the Departmental Administrator.
The College Computer Centre also provides general computing facilities to all students in the College.
