Examination entry and thesis submission

At least two months before you wish to submit your thesis you should obtain the MPhil/PhD Entry Pack from the Examination and Research Degrees office or the Student Administration Centre. Note that Section D of the form must be completed and signed by your Supervisor and the Director of Graduate Studies.

Students are responsible for organising the binding and submission of their PhD thesis for examination. Instructions for what is required are included with the exam entry pack.

The Department will normally reimburse the cost of binding the copies to be submitted (one hardbound and two softbound), provided the student submits the thesis within four years of initial registration. Students should confirm appropriate costs with the Director of Graduate Studies before arranging binding.

Further information is available for current research students.
