Condensed Matter Physics in the City
The Hubbard Theory Consortium runs a Summer Program "Condensed Matter Physics in the City" (CMP in the City), aimed at bringing together condensed matter theorists and experimentalists from the UK and abroad to initiate and foster collaborations in the exciting area of strongly correlated quantum many body systems. These meetings typically last for three to four weeks and are hosted mostly at the Bedford College location of the Royal Holloway College, University of London, with special events held at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and at the Royal Holloway campus.
Traditionally, the last week of CMP in the City is dedicated to topics in magnetism, following the strong UK tradition in the field, and it concludes with the Theoretical and Experimental Magnetism Meeting.
