Classics, the Olympics, and Arsenal?!

As part of the Runnymede Literary Festival on 14th March, celebrating the College as an Olympic venue, Dr. Richard Hawley led workshops for local school children, designed in collaboration with Arsenal Football Club, on the qualities that made a good team. “The ancient Greek motto ‘always to be the best’ sums up the aspirations of today’s athletes,” he said, “ just as much as it did those of the competitors at the ancient Olympics.”
