Interested in developing a career in radio, film or television?

Come and meet alumni including:

  • A BBC radio presenter
  • A film coordinator
  • A former producer at ITV

Speaker Details:

Ashanti Omkar (BSc Marketing, Management and Computer Science) presents her radio show on the BBC Asian Network.  Ashanti also serves as a Bollywood Expert for BBC West Midlands and BBC London.  She freelances as a Media Consultant for the London Indian Film Festival, as well as working on the South Asian Music event at The O2 London. 

Krystal Stone (BA Media Arts, 2013) works as a Production Coordinator for Liquid Productions, an industry leading video production company specializing in online video delivery.

Chris Humphries (BA Modern History and Politics, 2012) is currently a Radio Producer and Director for LBC, the UK's largest commercial news-based radio station.  Chris has also previously presented for various national, regional and local radio stations including talkSPORT and BBC Local Radio.

Linda Serck (BA English) is a BBC Journalist and BBC Radio Broadcaster.  Linda has a regular music show and writes for BBC News Online. Previously she worked as a Music News Journalist at BBC6 Music.

Wendy Arnot is a current Royal Holloway English student with many years experience as a director on ITV and the BBC.

David Mackie (BA Media Arts) is a Cinematographer whose film credits include several of the Harry Potter films, The Bourne Ultimatum and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.  We will be showing video tips from David on the night. 

Booking is recommended to secure your place, but not essential.
