As Minister for Climate Change, Greg will play a key role in the Energy Bill, which aims to improve energy efficiency in British homes and businesses, promote low carbon energy production and to secure our energy supplies. Greg has been working on climate change and wider environmental policy since 2005 as Shadow Climate Change Minister. In March 2006 he accompanied David Cameron to the Arctic to highlight the dangers of global warming. He led the passage of the Climate Change Bill through the House of Commons in 2008 and was a key author of the Conservative Party's Low Carbon Economy green paper, launched in January 2009. He has been MP for Bexhill and Battle in his native Sussex since 2001.
