As Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, Ann Abraham was tasked with considering complaints about government departments, the NHS in England and a range of other public bodies in the UK. Now retired, she was previously Legal Services Ombudsman for England and Wales and Chief Executive of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux. Her public appointments have included the Neill Committee on Standards in Public Life, Centerpoint Soho Housing Association, the BBC General Advisory Council and the Benefits Agency.
