Mark Strong

BA Drama & Theatre Studies, 1985 Royal Holloway College

Described by Sir Ian McKellen as, "the greatest living actor in England right now", Mark Strong is equally known for movie villains, such as Lord Blackwood in Sherlock Holmes and Sir Godfrey in Robin Hood, and for dramatic roles in films such as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Body of Lies with Leonardo diCaprio, The Young Victoria, Syriana with George Clooney and Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist. Mark made his name with TV work such as The Long Firm, Henry VIII and Our friends in the North, and appearances with the Royal National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company.
