The Academic Services Directorate draws together all centrally delivered academic and student support functions to foster an inspiring, rewarding and fulfilling student experience.
The core areas of responsibility include:
Academic Quality and Policy Office: maintenance of academic standards; the quality assurance and enhancement of academic provision; oversight and development of academic regulations and policies; servicing key academic governance committees; investigation and oversight of academic student disciplinary matters.
Careers and Employability Service: the expert enabler of employability success for the institution, its academic departments and individual students and graduates, creating inspirational social capital and building student confidence and skills to succeed.
CeDAS: coordination and delivery of academic skill development for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students; university preparation programmes for international students; academic oversight of Study Abroad programmes.
Educational Development: leading and supporting excellence in teaching and learning, e-learning, and the professional development of teaching staff and research students.

Student Administration Services: providing central administrative support for the student lifecycle, including the Doctoral School, student accommodation, academic timetabling and the management of College events such as enrolment, College examinations and the graduation ceremonies.
Student Services Centre: acting as a dedicated single point of contact for all non-academic student queries.
Student Services: provision of administration and support in relation to the student experience and wellbeing, including all student-facing central support functions such as halls life; campus engagement; active lifestyle and sports; volunteering; welfare and wellbeing services; off-campus support and liaison; disability and dyslexia services; faith support; financial advice; international student support; student counselling; and the Health Centre.
Senior Department Managers: three senior department managers have been appointed, each with a thematic portfolio, matrix line managed by the Director of Student Administration: Compliance and Quality Enhancement; Opportunities, Employability and Skills; Wellbeing, Attainment and Progression
