A video of this year's Science Open Day is now available on the new Discover Science site.

Royal Holloway, University of London is launching its new Discover Science website as part of National Science Week.

National Science Week shines the spotlight each March on how science and maths relate to our everyday lives and helps to inspire the next generation of scientists with fun and participative activities which is something Royal Holloway prides itself on being involved in, both through our excellent schools outreach programme and our annual science open day.

The new Discover Science site is a central hub detailing information about the eight departments that make up the Faculty of Science at the College. It includes information on all the science courses we offer for prospective students, details of science-related scholarships, videos and photographs. It also includes information on the excellent research projects our academics are involved in and provides details of upcoming events which are open to all.

Professor Mary Fowler, Dean of Sciences at Royal Holloway, said: “I am very pleased to see the launch of Discover Science. Finding out what is going on in the Science Faculty is now so much easier.

“The Science Departments are very highly rated for the quality of their research, with Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, Geography and Psychology being ranked in the top 10 in the UK. The News and Events page allows the public, schools, prospective students and staff to find out the fascinating things our scientists are involved in.”
