The bunting will be out at Royal Holloway, University of London this weekend for a day of Diamond Jubilee celebrations at the annual Garden Party.
Members of the public are invited to join staff and students to watch the festivities unfold on a large screen TV broadcasting the London ceremonies.
The annual family event will include craft and local community stalls, children’s activities, magic shows, music provided by the Students’ Union ‘Insanity Radio’, and children’s rides.
There will be live performances from the Royal Holloway Gospel Choir and Opera Holloway will be holding an open musical rehearsal for its latest show in the Windsor Auditorium.
There will also be a talk by Professor Nigel Saul, Good Kings and Bad Kings... and Queens, and tours of the Picture Gallery and campus (£2 per person, per tour).
The annual Alumni Reunion Tea (admission by ticket only from the Alumni Office) will be held in the Founder's Dining Hall from 3-5pm. A Foundation Day Service will be held in the Chapel at 6pm.
Donations will be collected on entry for the Royal Surrey Appeal. (Children under 5 free). Guide dogs only. Sunday 3rd June 1 - 5.30pm.
