This week, Royal Holloway welcomed over 200 teachers from secondary schools and colleges to campus for the first Learning and Teaching Conference. Welcomed by Professor Paul Layzell, the delegates packed out the Windsor Auditorium for a day of presentations and themed workshops on technology and learning, how to be innovative in the classroom, getting to grips with subject related issues and preparing for university.
Royal Holloway also launched the Connect scheme, a service which gives schools and colleges the opportunity to have a formal partnership with Royal Holloway and ensure they receive maximum benefit.
Professor Paul Layzell, Principal of Royal Holloway said: "We have all long been aware of the importance of good communication between all those involved in the business of education: students, school and college partners, Local Authority staff and Royal Holloway staff.
"Royal Holloway Connect offers us a tremendous opportunity to build on, and improve, good communication.”
