Academic to appear on Channel 4's Dispatches

Posted on 26/09/2011

An academic from the Department of Politics and International Relations at Royal Holloway, University of London, is to feature on Dispatches tonight (26 September), adding expert commentary to an analysis of Tony Blair’s role as peace envoy.

Dr Nick Allen was filmed in the College’s North Quad offering an analysis of Tony Blair’s commitments as representative Envoy of the Quartet on the Middle East and his business interests in Tony Blair Associates, an international consultancy which handles multi-million-pound contracts in the Middle East.

In tonight’s episode of Dispatches, reporter Peter Oborne shows that since resigning in June 2007, Tony Blair has financially enriched himself more than any previous ex-prime minister. The programme reveals some of the sources of Tony Blair’s new-found wealth, much of which comes from the Middle East.

Dispatches – The Wonderful World of Tony Blair will be broadcast tonight at 8pm on Channel 4. To watch again, visit 4oD.
