Sir Philip Craven, President, International Paralympic Committee

This Speaker Series celebrates the Paralympic Movement in the lead-up to the London 2012 Paralympic Games and offers a real insight into this inspirational movement.

A five-time Paralympian, Sir Philip Craven MBE represented UK in wheelchair basketball from 1969 to 1993 and swimming in 1972, before becoming President of the International Paralympic Committee in 2001.

Since his retirement from international sport, Sir Philip has concentrated his efforts on promoting Paralympic sport. In 2005 he was made a Knight Bachelor for services to Paralympic sport.
