Indigenous knowledge systems can enhance our understanding for governance of biodiversity and ecosystems. In this lecture, Professor Mistry will use examples from her work in conservation, fire management and climate change to propose that both Indigenous and scientific knowledge can produce complementary insights, and that working at the intercultural interface is critical for conservation and social justice.
