Suffrage Youth Project

This project celebrates the centenary of the Representation of the People Act by inspiring and empowering local young people.

A series of activities and workshops will include visits to campus and sessions at youth centres with mosaic artist Kim Porelli to create a commemorative mosaic which will be exhibited in the Davison Building, before being installed in Egham.

Our guided tour to the Houses of Parliament will see participants meet Artist-in-Residence Mary Branson, who recently unveiled her 'New Dawn' light installation in Westminster, a commissioned artwork to commemorate the Suffragette movement. Participants will have the opportunity to experience walking the corridors of democracy at the heart of our country.
