Looking for an intern this summer?
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Royal Holloway University Employability Scheme for 2022, in collaboration with Santander Universities.
You can take part in this successful scheme to offer undergraduate finalists and recent graduates a summer internship fully funded by Santander Universities. Companies from all sectors are welcome to get involved in offering project-based internships.
The funding will support a Royal Holloway undergraduate finalist or recent graduate to work on a project within your business for up to 108 hours during the Spring and Summer 2022 (March – September 2022)
Places on this scheme are limited and internship proposals will be assessed against our criteria on a first come, first served basis until all funding is reserved.
What are the benefits for an internship provider?
- There is no cost to you – the cost of the internship is covered, making it an easy affordable way to recruit a Royal Holloway undergraduate finalist or recent graduate
- The intern is paid directly through the College – cutting out the need for the intern to be paid through your payroll
- Your intern can help deliver on a project or business initiative that will move your organisation forward
- Utilise the opportunity to spot new talent for your organisation and trial the intern for any future positions without any obligation
- Current employees can advance their personal development by having an opportunity to manage and supervise an intern
- Interns can bring fresh ideas and perspective to your organisation
Internship Provider Eligibility:
- Must be registered and based in the UK
- Company, sole trader or partnerships are eligible
- Charities are not eligible
- The internship can be remote or in person (at the business’ discretion in line with the UK government's Covid-19 guidelines)

- The internship cannot be offered to a shareholder, a relative of the owner/director, or a current/previous paid employee/intern
- Provider must agree to fill in a mandatory feedback survey at the end of the internship
- Provider must agree to record all intern hours worked and provide evidence at the end of the internship
- Provider is strongly encouraged to share their experience via their professional social media accounts including suggested hashtags.
