Micro-Placements

Micro-Placements

As an employer you can make a real difference to Royal Holloway undergraduates and start them off on their career journey by offering a micro-placement at no cost to you.

Micro-placements are 2-4 weeks long and take place over the summer - they provide the perfect opportunity for students to gain an insight into a business environment and help them become more employable.

To be successful on our increasingly popular micro-placements scheme, students from 14 departments across the university undergo a competitive selection process cleverly designed to improve their skills and employability.

Offering a micro-placement gives you access to this pool of motivated, pre-selected students and therefore takes the hassle out of recruitment – it’s flexible, time- and cost-efficient.

If you are interested in finding out more about the scheme and how you can offer a micro-placement, please contact the placements team at CareersPlacements@rhul.ac.uk.

In partnership with Santander Universities, Royal Holloway’s Careers & Employability Service offers funding to support the engagement of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with students and recent graduates through paid internships.

This programme is a fantastic opportunity for SMEs to gain access to a network of talented students and graduates eager to work hard and develop their skillset.
