Royal Holloway’s Paint a Poppy campaign

Royal Holloway’s Paint a Poppy campaign

  • Date06 November 2020

Royal Holloway’s Love your Community volunteering team is calling on students, staff and residents to take part in their Paint a Poppy campaign in the lead up to Remembrance Day on 11 November 2020.

It’s a really simple and fun way to show respect and remember those who have lost their lives serving their country. All you have to do to get involved is:

  1. Find a stone in or around your local area
  2. Paint a Poppy or something in relation to Remembrance on your stone
  3. Take a picture of your design and post it on social media, tagging @LoveYourComm and using the hashtag #PaintaPoppy

Daniel Phillips, Love your Community team leader at Royal Holloway said: “We feel this is a unique and appreciative way of engaging with our entire community, and we can’t stress the importance of staying connected in these extraordinary times.”
